Gmail call ..its free again !
When google launched gmail call feature back in August 2010, they said it will be free for the rest of they year. On Dec 20th, Google has graciously extended that through 2011. If you haven’t used that feature, give it a shot. The feature lets you dial any phone number in US or Canada (excluding collect call or similar call) right from your browser for free and a reasonably priced international calls. Currently the feature is available for US based customers only. All you need is a gmail account, once you login to your gmail you should see a Call Phone link on the left side bar. Click on that and dial the number as if you would dial on a phone. Its a nice feature to have when you are on the move.
It is a nice feature for those corporate gmail/google users who wants to get all the solution in one interface – the browser. I love it, my gmail, documents, IM, phone and few other applications on the same browser. Makes life simple and portable !!  To learn more, visit gmail.com/call
