Download video from metacafe in Mac
The other day, I had to figure out a way to download a dance from metacafe for my son. Â Unfortunately the video on metacafe didn’t have a download link, but after a bit of googling, I found a back door method to download the file. Please do not use this for piracy or undesired use. This post is made with the best intention.
To download a MetaCafe on a mac
1. On Safari once you find the video. Hit  cmd-option-A to bring up activity monitor
2. On the activity monitor,click the link. When the list expand, find the line that resembles the movie file like the one in the below picture and copy the line.
3. On a textedit paste the link and add  <a href= in front of the link and then at the end of the link add  >LINK</a>.
4. Save the file as html file.
5. Open the file up in safari and right click on the link you created. Choose, “Download Linked File”.
Once the file is downloaded rename the movie with extension .flv and viola! Â . Enjoy !
