I won&#8217;t say I am an expert in WordPress, but I believe I have graduated out of the novice school. Having said that I made a dumb mistake few days back. I normally take a backup of the wordpress directory and the database before I install updates or make major changes. That way I can restore if something goes wrong.<br \/>\nWhen I found out a <a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.org\/download\/\" target=\"_blank\">new release<\/a> was out, I logged in to my admin page and clicked the automatic update, next thing I know I lost all my customization on the stylesheet. I couldn&#8217;t believe wordpress instead of updating the incremental changes does a full update of its files including the theme files. I had to restore an older stylesheet and then incorporate couple of changes I had made since.<\/p>\n<p>So WordPress users \u00c2\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: xx-large;\"><span style=\"color: #a5e816;\">ensure<\/span><\/span> you have a good backup of your files and database before you update your version.
