There is a whole lot of talk about wearables. Smart watches leads the subject.\u00c2\u00a0 The newest being the so called iWatch from apple. Well, I am not going to talk about iWatch here, you can find about that in numerous apple related site. I want to talk about Pebble<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Have you heard about Pebble ?\u00c2\u00a0 If not you should look it up.<\/p>\n

What I like about Pebble is that is serves its primary purpose well – a watch. \u00c2\u00a0 I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t want a watch that connects to internet, shows photos, has a camera and so on.\u00c2\u00a0 For that I have my smart phone which has become a part of my body.<\/p>\n

Pebble is a simple gadget that collaborate with your smart phone to show some of its smartness.\u00c2\u00a0 The latest software updates has brought lot of nice features to the watch. Pebble currently works with iOS and Android based devices.<\/p>\n

Basically the watch uses low voltage bluetooth to connect with your smart phone and can display your SMS messages, emails, caller id, weather, etc.\u00c2\u00a0 When somebody calls your smart phone, Pebble vibrates and shows you the caller\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s info\u00c2\u00a0 and you can chose to take the call or reject the call by simplying pressing a button on the phone without even touching the phone.\u00c2\u00a0 Similary, if somebody send your a text message, the message is displayed on the Pebble. This helps a lot when your phone is buried in your pocket or bag . You can even control your music from the Pebble. Pretty handy, eh ?<\/p>\n

Imagine you are in a big executive meeting and you have your phone silenced and in your pant pocket and your wife calls or texts. It will be awkward to reach into you pocket in front of everybody. If you choose to ignore the call, you will now be curious as to who called or what the message was about. If you have one of these Pebbles you can simply glance at your watch and find what you need to know.<\/p>\n

The Pebble app store has a good choice of apps from weather to fitness, games to navigation and so on.\u00c2\u00a0 It has a e-paper display, so its easy to read irrespective of where you are. The backlit screen helps you to read while its dark. \u00c2\u00a0It comes with metal and plastic casing. Metal casing slightly bigger and comes with black matte and brushed stainless steal finish. \u00c2\u00a0The plastic casing has a choice of 5 colors – black, white, red,orange and grey.<\/p>\n

Did I tell you that you there is large collection of watchfaces on the pebble store and all of them are absolutely free. You can change the way your watch look to match the mood and dress.<\/p>\n

I have been using one for the last 3 months and I really love it and I think you should give it a shot, buy yourselves one or gift one to someone you love and be smarter !<\/p>\n
