While I am still playing with Db2 V9.7, I found this link to be quench the thirst for the time being :
DB2 V9.7 is loaded with some real cool features, some of them are :
1. Intelligent compression of Indexes and temporary tablespaces
2. Native support for PL/SQL and Oracle SQL
3. The long awaited TRUNCATE command
4 . Created temporary tables are now allowed, rather than only declared temporary table.
5. Schema changes without taking downtime.
There are many other features, but these are the top 5 I like to boast about. Of which, the first two is my favorite. I will in another post explain it a bit further.
